I was fault finding It would appear the the O/D solenoid does get its signal from the LPS on the 2.5 which may explain why some people have O/D and others dont. The only thing is I cant find an exact set up for a 3 wire LPS for a 2.5.
There are plenty of posts on the TPS on the 2.8 but I dont think they set up the same because the 2.8 has the electronic gearbox and the 2.5 is more old type
If any body has this I would appreciate a copy so I cantest to see what happens when its not correct, and mixed with a badly adjusted kick down cable etc.

As I know there're several automatic gearboxes for 2.5, so that's may be the reason of presence and lack of OD. But it quite odd to me hear that there's no OD button at all.
As for your question - I've not got it clearly. Do you need information on TPS adjustment on 2.5 or what?

if you need it for 2.5 here it is.
TPS sensor adjutment:
idle position 0.3-1,5Volts output signa.
full load 3.7-4.9 Volts
As for 2.8 - there's different modification of sensors (5 and 10 volts) and different transmissions.

Hiya Николай
Thanks for you reply, there is an OD button but the problem is that sometimes owners lose the OD for no reason ? what I want is
The exact set up for a 3 wire LPS for a 2.5.

I see.
So tell me what do you need.
Information on 2.5 I've already gave you. I think the carrier signal is in the wire in the middle (I'll check it tonight). The other wires are ground and +5V.
Now do you need information on 2.8?

It (the manual) says:
1. Attach test harness in line break of wiring MD998478
2. Make sure all wires are connected
3. Attach voltmeter's "+" to the read wire and "-" to the blue wire (ground).
4. turn on ignition and check the voltage in 2 positions of the leveler.
I don't think it would help you
There's my recommendations.
I don't know if there's 3 or 2 wires in TPS connector.
if there's 2 lines one is power and another is signal
if there's 3 lines - they are power, signal and grounding.
So, here we go.
1. Disconnect TPS connector, turn on ignition and find the power line - it should be +5V.
2. Now, turn off ignition, and locate the signal line. If there are 2 lines, the one left should be signal. And if there are 3 lines - simply locate the grounding wire with ohmmeter.
3. Now, when you know the wires you have 2 options. You can read the signal using a needle - just thrust it into the signal wire and use the voltmeter with your ignition on (the sensor should be connected to the main wiring harness). Or you can use external 5V supply and read the signal through detached connector.
Best regards

No, I can't help you right now. I don't have ASA installed.
As I can see this car is form japan. It doesn't have VIN, it has FRAME number.
Any way it's 4m40 engine with V4AW3 gear box and 4.9 transmission gear ratio. It's all I can read without ASA.
