The 2WD/4WD changeover section has the centre differential lock function with
three positions (2WD centre differential lock, 4WD centre differential free, 4WD centre differential lock) in addition to the 2WD/4WD changeover.
Furthermore, the synchroniser has been adopted for the 2WD/4WD changeover section (between 2WD/4WD hub and drive sprocket) to enable the 2WD/4WD changeover while driving.
As shown in the table below, the 2WD/4WD changeover section consists of the following components: Differential lock hub, 2WD/4WD hub, drive sprocket, 2WD/4WD synchroniser sleeve, outer ring, inner ring, synchroniser cone, synchroniser spring, front side gear, transfer drive shaft, etc.
This section operates as an integrated unit by engaging the differential lock hub with the transfer drive shaft, the 2WD/4WD hub with the front side gear, outer ring, and inner ring, and the drive sprocket with the synchroniser cone.
Then, the 2WD/4WD synchroniser sleeve makes changeover by connecting two or three of them.
2WD OPERATION ("2H" POSITION SELECTED)
When the 2H position is selected, the sleeve is located in the left end as shown in the left figure. It connects the differential lock hub and 2WD/4WD hub, and the drive sprocket hole is free.
Then, the transfer drive shaft rotates together with the front side gear,
and the centre differential becomes locked.
The driving force is not transmitted to the front differential side because the drive sprocket is free. Therefore, the vehicle is driven with a rear wheel drive system.
FULL-TIME 4WD OPERATION ("4H" POSITION SELECTED)
When the 4H position is selected, the sleeve is located in the centre as shown in the left figure. It connects the 2WD/4WD hub and drive sprocket, and the differential lock hub is not engaged.
Then, the driving force is divided and transmitted from the centre differential to the front side gear and rear output shaft. Because the differential lock hub is free, the centre differential can operate freely and will absorb the rotation speed difference between the front and rear drive shafts if any, which provides smooth driving.
DIRECT COUPLING 4WD OPERATION ("4HLC" OR "4LLC" POSITION SELECTED)
When the 4HLc or 4LLc position is selected, the sleeve is located in the right end as shown in the left figure. It connects the drive sprocket, 2WD/4WD hub, and differential lock hub.
Then, the transfer drive shaft rotates together with the front side gear, and the centre differential becomes locked. At this time, the drive sprocket also rotates together. Therefore, the front and rear drive shafts rotate at the same speed.
На первом рисунке есть штука под названием differential lock hub.
Так вот, он блокируется вилкой в режиме 2Н (второй рисунок) и 4HLc (последний рисунок), также выделил жирным про центральный дифференциал
Блокируется он, блокируется в режиме 2Н. Извиняйте теоретика
А про заблокировать и не отключить.... синхронизаторы наверное не успевают.
Вполне может быть одновременно что и вилка слева и дифференциал заблокирован и пружинка синхронизатора не вышла....
