Поставил лебёдку MileMarker 10500 (испытал)

Облебёдился таки. Долгонько у меня это заняло. Сложного ничего нет, только вот в час по чайной ложке - далеко не уедешь. Люблю я помозговать над процессом. Зато теперь есть опыт по изготовлению гидравлических трубок. 8) Гибкие шланги я правда в мастерской сделал, не хотелось покупать довольно дорогую обжимную машинку для такого пустяка.
Теперь ещё бампер вокруг этого дела соорудить осталось. Глядишь за годик справлюсь .

Провёл испытания. На бездорожье выбраться не удалось поэтому использовал её не совсем по назначению. Выкорчевал сухое дерево во дворе (довольно не маленькое 0.5м в диаметре у основания). пришлось даже вторую машину к Монтере прицеплять. Лебёдка работает как часы (по крайней мере сечас), что мне понравилось, так это то что при работе она фактически никаких звуков не издаёт, только легкий шелчёк при переключении направления врашения барабана. Даже когда усилия не хватило, она просто встала и всё. Двух скоросная коробка тоже удобна, можно легко и бысто смотать трос.

Ну вроде как серединка уже имеется, а по краям я пока попробую уши от родного бампера повесить. Увлекшись лесоповалом, не успел закончить в эти выходные. Посмотрим как это будет выглядеть. Не понравится, сооружу что-нибудь другое.

What kind of details are you looking for?
Installation of winch itself is no different than any other which. Since there is no kit offered by MileMarker to fit this winch to Mitsubishi vehicles (they have neither correct fitting to connect to supply hose from pump nor fitting to hook up to power steering) so I had to make something up myself. Basically I cut pieces off power steering supply line, brazed on standard hydraulic fittings. Hydraulic shop made me some custom length hoses.

I also built these fitting more for convenience.

Ok. there is one more problem. If you buy a winch with control solenoids mounted on hydraulic motor the top position (I had to turn the motor in relation to body by 90 degrees) is only one which allows to center winch between frame rails. I would suggest to buy 70 series winch supplied without solenoids and buy separate remote solenoid mounting kit. Then you can mount those solenoids somewhere under hood and run plain hydraulic line directly to motor.

Winch is nice. Dead quiet under load albeit a bit slow.

As far as I know the winch is connected to the power steering pump. A better pump means more powerful winch. Does the OEM pump have enough power to support the winch? Or you replaced it with another?

I'm asking this because I've read that OEM pump lacks of power..

My location should tell you where I bought it. Paid about $400 for used one.
The winch is rated at pressure of 1500 PSI and flow of 3.5 GPM (10.34 MPa: 13.2 l/min) to archive stated pull of 10500lb and speed. Mitsubishi stock pump is rated at about 1150-1200 PSI and 2.2-2.5 GPM if I'm not mistaken. It's been awhile since I researched it. That means you lose about 20-25% in power and speed compared to rated pump/flow. Meaning winch now will act more like 8000-8500lb winch and not 10500lb. Of course more power the merrier but it pretty much always is sufficient (then there is that snatch block solution at hand) to get you out of trouble unless you plan to use this winch in competition or something along those lines where speed is critical.
Upgrading pump or setting auxiliary unit would enable you to meet or easily exceed stock specifications. I've heard of people running dedicated pumps allowing for almost doubling the power/speed ratings without damaging the winch. It's very high quality overbuilt unit. If cost is not a concern (although that could be moderated) it's certainly way to go. Another bonus of having more powerful pump of course is broad range of other uses one can imagine for hydraulics like forced articulated suspension, adjustable height etc.

I was trying to find out the manufacturer of the stock pump. Is it KAYABA?
How did you find out the stock pump PSI etc? Have you tested it somehow?

Here's a comment from another forum...
Everything depends from your requirements: speed/power. Every hydraulic winch has a hydraulic motor and hydraulic valves matched to specific performance. Important parameters for hydraulic valves is: maximum pressure and maximum oil flow; for hydrauulic motor is: maximum pressure and oil capacity per 1 turn. You can't exceed maximum pressure in whole hydraulic circuit, but oil flow can be increased (of course not -> infinity) for better speed until maximum value of valves. That is the reason why better option is hydraulic winch with separated valves - you can change valves for bigger versions if you want. Ofcourse you can't forget about right oil cooler.

In next step you have to choose right oil pump matched to rest of circuit. If you have correct pump you have to check maximum power needed for this pump. Pump will be mounted on engine block, instead A/C compressor and will be driven by T-belts from crankshaft pulley. It's very probable that 1 T-Belt(basically for AC compressor) will be not enough so You have to make new pulley for 2 T-belts or mayby more(only "front" thin part of pulley).

What's your opinion?

The winch costs $620 (70 series) and $785 (75 series) in US. Here in Greece it costs around €1000... so I think that ordering from the U.S is the only way to go

You can find operating pressure in service manual for diagnosing power steering problems. If you take your faith to it that what at least it should be. Actually if you have later model Pajero (not sure from your signature. Mine is 92) you are in better luck since Mitsubishi bumped operating pressure all the way up to 1400 PSI. So winch will operate at almost full pull power of course flow is still not there and it's going to be slow.
As far as comment. Valves are not built to operated at specific pressure unless we are talking about relief valve there is on on steering pump that's actually what determines operating pressure. Solenoids operate in the range of pressures until they basically break. On contrary flow will be restricted by orifice in the valve/pump/hoses body. Actually winch comes with restrictor disk in the inlet restricting flow/operating speed. You can take out and it will used more/run faster.
2 t-belts sounds reasonable if you are planning to use high flow high pressure pump.
Shipping anything overseas from US is going to be a killer.

Regarding the winch. In my owner's manual there's a section about a PTO winch. Is there a way I could get my hands on something like this?
