DTC P0154: LEFT FRONT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) CIRCUIT NO ACTIVITY DETECTED (BANK 2, SENSOR 1)
DTC Set Criteria
Thirty seconds or more have passed since the starting sequence was completed. Engine coolant temperature is higher than 169 deg. F (76 deg. C). Engine speed is higher than 1200 RPM. Volumetric efficiency is higher than 30 percent. Throttle position sensor output voltage is lower than 4 volts. Except while fuel is being shut off. Monitoring time is 30 seconds. Code will set when left front HO2S output voltage does not get across 0.5 volt within about 30 seconds.
Probable Causes
Left front HO2S deteriorated.
Open circuit in left front HO2S output line or ground line.
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failed.
Left rear HO2S deteriorated.
NOTE: When the left front HO2S begins to deteriorate, the HO2S output voltage will deviate from the voltage when the sensor was new. This deviation will be corrected by the left rear HO2S. If the left rear HO2S responds poorly because it has deteriorated, it will improperly correct the left front HO2S. Even when closed loop control is being effected, the fluctuation of the left front HO2S output voltage decreases, without intersecting with 0.5 volt. This will result in DTC P0154 being set.
